A two-day long ‘Refresher training on Gender’ was organized on 8-9 November, 2023. A total of 22 participants attended in this training, including ASF staff, partner NGO Light House staff and acid survivor representatives from Bogura. The training was implemented under the project “Strengthening Acid Survivors Network (ASN) to eliminate Acid and Other Gender-Based Violence”, funded by the Australian Government. The main objectives of the training was to cover the learning topics of the previous “Gender” training such as what is diversity and plurality, to gain sufficient knowledge to understand the gender perspective and acquire the necessary skills to ensure gender equality in their daily life and workplace, to analyze the concept of gender, etc. and give ideas about sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, sexual harassment in the workplace, what can be done to stop these and to discuss the directives of the Hon’ble High Court to stop sexual harassment in the workplace. The training was very important and informative. The training was conducted by the trainer Dr. Motahar Akand and implemented by ASF.
