I am Shamima Sultana, currently working as a Junior Counselor at the Acid Survivors Foundation (ASF), where I joined on August 7, 2024. My primary responsibility is to provide counseling services to acid survivors—both men and women—who come from various districts across Bangladesh. I offer emotional and psychological support to help them cope with trauma and rebuild their confidence.
In addition to my regular counseling duties, I visit the Women Support Center at Tejgaon Police Station every Tuesday to provide counseling services to victims seeking assistance there. In emergency situations, I also accompany patients to Islamia Eye Hospital and the National Institute of Ophthalmology to ensure they receive the necessary support and care.
