Essential Burn Care Training for Shaheed Suhrarwardy Medical Health Professionals
To contribute in reducing physical and psychological consequence of acid survivors in Bangladesh ASF is implementing a project titled, “Direct Support for Acid Burn Survivors”. This project is funded by Kadoorie Charitable Foundation (KCF), based in Hong Kong. To implement the project activities one of the key action plan was to enhance the knowledge and skills of Healthcare professional to address quality burn care. For that purpose ASF organized an Essential Burn Care Training at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital (ShSMCH) on 18th September,2017. Total training participants were 25; mostly intern &trainee doctors and few nurses.
Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Seraji, Head of department, Burn & Plastic Surgery unit at ShSMCH inaugurated the training. The program was conducted by Dr. Ahmedul Kabir Chowdhury, Assistant Professor of Burn and Plastic Surgery unit of ShSMCH, Dhaka, as a chief faculty. More other plastic & burn consultants
Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Quamruzzaman, Assistant Professor Dr. Rabiul Karim Khan facilitated training sessions as instructor.
Prof Dr. Uttam Barua, Director, ShSMCH came during the closing ceremony and motivated the participants with his vehement speech. The day long program ended with handing over the certificates to participants and a vote of thanks.
