Essential Burn Care Training arranged by ASF for Nurses at SHNIBPS
To contribute in reducing physical and psychological consequence of acid survivors in Bangladesh ASF is implementing a project titled, “Direct Support for Acid Burn Survivors”. This project is funded by Kadoorie Charitable Foundation (KCF), based in Hong Kong. As per action plan of the project to enhance the knowledge and skills of Healthcare professionals of different Govt. Organizations ASF organized an Essential Burn Care Training at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn & Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS)on 18th September,2017. Total training participants were 25; the training was only for nurses working at burn unit who are newly recruited and never received EBC training.
The program was conducted by Dr. Rabiul Karim Khan, Assistant Professor of Burn and Plastic Surgery unit of SHNIBPS, DMCH, as a chief faculty. More other plastic & burn consultants e.g. Associate Professor Dr. Lutfar Kader Lenin, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafiq Uddin Ahmed, Resident Surgeon Dr. Hossain Imam and Assistant Professor Dr. Hedayet Ali Khan facilitated training sessions as instructor.
During the training participants were very enthusiastic to learn essential burn care and managements. The day long program ended with handing over the certificates to participants and a vote of thanks.
