ASF launched a new Project and MoU has been signed with two renowned NGO’s in Bangladesh

Acid Survivors Foundation (ASF) has launched a new project named “ICT Based Response and Support Mechanism to Address Violence Against Women and Child Project”. This is a two years long project covering the period from June 2017 to May 2017. Recently, on 05 October, 2017 A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with Acid Survivors Foundation and two reputed NGO’s as Light House Bogra and People’s Oriented Program Implementation (POPI), Lalmatia, Dhaka, with the aim of implementing the project in 4 Upazilas (16 Unions) of two districts, Narshingdi and Bogra (two Upazilas in each district and 4 Unions in each Upazilas). A series of activities will be performed to develop ICT based response and support mechanism to prevent report and respond to acid and other forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG). Selina Ahmed, Executive Director of ASF, Md. Harun-Or-Rashid, Chief Executive of Light House and Murshed Alam Sarker, Executive Director of POPI have signed the MoU. They have discussed about different initiatives which is needed to implement the project.
